This Week's Headlines 01.26.2009

Brothers & Sisters of The Exalted Guild,

I apologize for me not being around at all over the last few weeks. As you know I have been upgrading my main system to a full SLI dual nvidia video system, a dual core Wolfdale processor & an Asus P5N-D motherboard.

I additionally upgraded my ram to 4gb & my operating system to Windows Vista Ultimate. If any of you decide to upgrade to this architecture then by all means please, ask me for assistance. The largest issue that I incurred through this process was getting the power distribution correct.

It is a true concern to evaluate all parameters in order to get a painless upgrade. By that I mean voltage, current & watts are all a possible means of causing the system to hang if they are not allocated properly.

I apologize for being absent from all of you for the past week or so. As many of you know my main system crashed and I have been awaiting the parts to arrive for a week.

Also, it's been a couple of weeks since I posted our headlines. I guess with the crash of my box I decided to put my time to other activities I have been neglecting until I have the system back up and running properly.

Brothers & Sisters of the Exalted Guild,

I am so exited to see so many of you gearing up for the New Year. We have steadily leveled over the past couple months & now are beginning to run heroics together; which is obviously bringing all of our gear up to the point we will be able to run Naxxramas soon! That will be our immediate goal for the month of January. Hopefully by mid-month we will be running it daily!

Let's make 2009 our year on the Drenden server & show everyone that we are a top notch progression raiding guild, second to none. I know we have the talent & skill! I am currently focused on gearing Jäger for Naxx. I will be picking up 3 new epic pieces today - crafted by Naki. I am also working on the raid/heroic schedule & positioning each spot so that everyone who wants to participate will have a slot available.

We have recruited a new guild member this week! One which brings 2 level 80's and a couple level 60's to the Guild. Her name is "Ory" so please offer her a big "Exalted Welcome"! I will speak more about her as we get more acquainted. She seems really cool ATM!

I am updating the ventrilo server's security settings over the next few days. Everyone in the guild will have a username & password specific to their character. Members ranks will be displayed in vent as well. A guest login with limited privileges will be posted for us to share & allow our visitors to join the ventrilo network when we have a PUG or just want to bring a friend in for fun. I will update everyone on this as the security update moves forward. You may reach me in game if you have any questions. Additional information will be posted on the guild information tab in the the social section in the game.

I will have more to report later in the week when I have time. ATM, I am just exhausted from work & the holidays -lol.

What a wonderful Warcraft week for Exalted! As a guild we are finally reaching the milestone of having enough level 80's that we can begin to get a schedule posted for regular dungeon runs, heroic dungeon runs, Naxxramas 10 mans, Scholozar 10 mans & begin to get our characters geared for the raids. I am proud of each of you that have shown great focus on leveling this week!

We all need to welcome our newest Guild member Hipcrit! I have known him for some time and he is definitely an asset to this Guild. He is a leader of the highest caliber. He also is a Pro at Warcraft & understands the game at a level that sets the bar quite high for the rest of us. I am so exited he decided to come to Exalted as I know he could ave chosen about any other guild on this server. WELCOME BROTHER!!!

I will be posting an in-game schedule on Friday after Christmas, so we can get started gearing up for the raid season in 2009. Until then - I hope all your wishes come true this Holiday Season.

TEG: This Week's Headlines 12.16.2008

Brothers & Sisters of the Exalted Guild,

Once again it has been a long arduous week of questing for most of us. Jäger clocked in at level 77 yesterday & will soon be able to run dungeons with the rest of the level 80's. I am looking forward to having 2 toons at level 80, one a DPS Deathknight & the other our beloved Druid tank. It will offer some flexibility in my game play. Currently, other Guild members are doing similar tasks. Utumno is working on a Level 80 Deathknight, a level 73 Warrior tank & a level 70 Resto Shaman. Odell is working on a level 80 Warlock & a level 74 Deathknight.

Brothers & Sisters of The Exalted Guild,

It's been a quiet week of questing. Many of us have made it to level 80, or are very close- GRATS! There should not be any reasons inhibiting us from running dungeons over the next weekend & raiding, at least ten man raids, by the following Wednesday. It is imperative to run the dungeons in regular mode first in order to learn the mechanics of the fights & then make the transition to heroic mode.

A Moment of Venting - As awesome as the expansion is, with the beautiful landscapes, incredible quests & wonderful game-play, I can honestly tell you that I AM SICK OF QUESTING!!! I am aware that in order to get to the high level raiding content we must complete the questing assignments throughout WotLK. I am sure the frustration I feel ATM will dissipate when I finally get to level 80 and start raiding with the Guild again.
