Contribute! - New guild, argh it’s scary I'll just hide in the corner... That really doesn't work, if you're not involved in things you'll end up getting left out more and more! The more you put into the guild, the more you will get out of it! Be it raids/instances or just chatting, get involved! Don't be afraid to chat away to others, approach others for advice/help or the appropriate people for any issues that you may have. - Constructive criticism! We're not saying don't air concerns/moans, we do not expect everyone to be happy with every decision the officers/class leaders make, however moaning for the sake of it is inappropriate. If you have concerns address these in a mature manner and they'll be dealt with. Excessive complaining for silly reasons is not constructive in the slightest and if it becomes too much the Officers will take action.
Oooo shiny, wonder what THIS does? - If you don't know what something does when clicked, don't click it. - If you don't know what something is for, don't loot it (especially if its Bind On Pickup!). - Doing anything but the above always leads to problems, again it's not something we will stand for although accidents can and do happen. - *NEVER* say you can use an item, if you're only intending to get the item and then list for sale in the A.H. as this is considered a Ninja Loot. When you choose to Ninja a piece of loot, it’s not only you that gets the bad name, but our guild. Anyone found to have ninja'd an item can and will be kicked from the guild, genuine mistakes can be forgiven but deliberate actions of this kind will not be tolerated.
Raid Selection - Selection of people that go on raids is done by the officers in the guild. When selecting people, the goal is to make the raid successful. Generally speaking the criteria for selecting people will be the following: 1) Class balance 2) Experience / prior attendance - What that means is that class balance takes priority. If there are more people that want to go than can fit within the limits of class balance, people that have gone on more prior raids will get selected first. We are however flexible in our selection to ensure that newer members are not left out and generally speaking it’s always class balance that will affect our decisions more than any other reason. - These are only guidelines and the officers can select people based on other criteria if they see fit to do so. Once someone is invited to the raid, their place is secure, we will not remove anyone from the raid group to replace them with another unless its completely vital and even then it will be done purely on a voluntary basis.
Conduct While In A Raid Group - As soon as you're invited, unless you have a valid reason and inform the Officers of this, you should make your way to the instance in preparation for starting. Invites will generally start at 8:45pm Server time with a view to starting the actual raid at 9.00pm. Anyone who is not in the instance within an appropriate timeframe without a valid reason will be given a warning and if the behavior is repeated a DKP penalty can be applied at the Officers discretion. If you were PvPing/Dueling, busy grinding in another region; this is still not a valid excuse for being late. -If you are also late logging on without letting a senior member/officer or GM know, then please expect to be replaced. - Please bear in mind that if you go AFK you leave 24 other people waiting on you. If you need to go AFK please let either an officer know or be sure to advise us within raid chat that you are going away. - If you need to go AFK for an extended period of time let an officer know as soon as possible, ideally when we're doing the invites as it can affect who we select to join the raid. -If you can only be on for a certain amount of time then let the officers know as soon as possible, preferably at the time of the invites as we will always prefer to take someone who can stay for the duration over someone who can only stay for a limited time. If you find yourself needing to go offline sooner than expected then again you should let the officers know as soon as possible so that we can organize a replacement if required. If you suddenly go offline without a valid reason and especially without letting us know then we are less likely to take you on the next Raid.
Distribution of Loot (DKP) - All epics that drop are requested on using an open bidding system. - Recruits cannot bid for any items if a member wishes to bid on the item also. You WILL however be collecting DKP to spend once you are promoted. An exception is made when all members have passed on the item, the recruits are then free to bid. - You CANNOT bid more DKP than you have. - T6 Vanquisher tokens will be prioritized to our warrior tanks - This is for the sake of progression. All other tiers are open to any class. - While we are generally very relaxed on what items go to which class - We do ask you to use your good common sense. If a DPS class needs an item, and you are only using it for your offspec, please pass it to that person.
Guild Officers - Although Jäger is Guild Leader, the Guild Officers are all given equal responsibility and the officers work as a council overseeing the various decisions that need to be made. - Guild Officers are responsible for a great deal of things including but not limited to: Recruitment of new members. Organizing Guild Bank items and handling the legions of requests. Organizing the various Raid Encounters and scheduling. General Strategy and Planning for the likes of Boss Fights. Dealing with any issues that arise with Guild members or issues raised by the Class Leaders. Administrating the DKP system.
The Guild Bank - Epic gems will be given out to people with items that they will not be changing for a long time (usually T6, may vary sometimes). If you feel your item warrants epic gemming please ask an Officer for the gem and they will have it made for you. Please bear in mind we can only give out what we have in the bank so we might be unable to fill some requests. - You are free to withdraw items from tab1 of the guild bank. Although we do ask you to respect a 50/50 rule - we provide half the stuff you need for your enchant, crafting etc and you pay for the other half yourself.
I want to Join! - Firstly you need to agree to the guild rules and guidelines indicated above, if you dont agree with them then sorry you've fallen at the first hurdle. We also need team players, a good guild is made up of people who are friendly and help each other, we've no room for selfish people or those who want to use the guild to get access to its benefits without contributing to it as well in return. You should also consider if what we do is what you want to do, some people PvP now and then but we are PvE raiding guild not a PvP one so if it’s only the PvP aspect you're interested in then sorry we're not for you. - If you're ok with all that then by all means head over to the recruitment area and apply there following the basic template outlined. Please note that we only recruit key classes that we need at the time so you may get turned down if we don't need any of your class but should a vacancy appear later feel free to reapply. Once you've submitted your application it can take a day or so for us to get back to you please be patient. - DO NOT hassle guild members in-game or via the forums to try and speed your application up as this will only have a negative effect on your chances!
Wee, I got accepted! - Once you've been accepted into the guild your space is by no means secure! This might sound bad but we're not generally too strict about this and as long as you show yourself to contribute well then you are likely to be accepted. - The trial period lasts for 2 weeks, with a review at 2 weeks leaving the scope for 1 more week if the officers feel it’s needed. Reviews are conducted by the Class Leaders and Guild Officers so it’s a collective decision. If you don’t pass your trial period then this can be for a number of reasons, but don’t feel too down about it, we simply have to be that bit stricter than normal guilds due to our size and needs.
